About me
Hey everyone! I go by Chopping Slime online, but my real name is Mario. From spending countless hours building in Minecraft to diving deep into games like Stardew Valley, Factorio, and Lumber Tycoon 2, gaming has always been more than a hobby for me—it’s been an inspiration.
While I studied electronics in high school, tinkering with circuits and programming microcontrollers, I eventually realized that my true passion lay in coding and creating games. I started small, experimenting with level editors, animations, and even a YouTube channel. Though I didn’t have all the resources back then to bring my ideas to life, the drive to create has always stayed with me.
My journey into game development began with a simple dream: to make something as engaging as the games I love. After exploring different tools and engines, I found my way to Godot Engine, where I’ve been learning and growing ever since. While there’s still so much to master—especially in coding and art—I’ve discovered that my biggest strength lies in game design. Whether it’s brainstorming mechanics, refining player experiences, or binging GDC talks, I pour all my energy into designing games that spark creativity and relaxation.
In September 2024, I took a big leap, leaving my full time job to fully dedicate myself to indie game development. My first project, Feed the Beaver, started as a small idea but has grown into something I’m genuinely excited to share. This journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to show you all the games I’ve been dreaming up.
Thank you for stopping by—I hope you’ll join me on this adventure!
